I'm sure you have all seen the promo images and heard about the MAC holiday collection "Glitter and Ice". Many more of you have probably already seen the swatch porn of such collection over at Temptalia. Either way, I'm going to reinforce the beauty in this collection for both of us. Victoria Frances Goth Girl!

Hey everyone!
Today I bring you a look I did recently that I've been thinking about doing for a while. Its based on one of Victoria Frances' amazing artworks. I guess this can also count as a halloween look (goth chick perhaps!), just tweak it as you desire!

I have explained everything you need to create this look!

Enjoy!

Using the Sigma E35 Tapered Blending Brush, apply Sugarpill's Poison Plum, or any similar purple you have, to the entire lid and blend as desired. Then, using the same brush, apply a darker purple or a small amount of black to the inner portion of the eyelid. You can find this must-have brush here: http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/e35.htm?Click=1897

Next, using a Sigma E65, line your upper lashline and waterline with a black cream or gel eyeliner. I used MAC's Blacktrack Fluidline. This brush is great for applying gel eyeliners, perfect size and easy to control. You can find it here: http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/e65.htm?Click=1897

After the eyes are done and mascara is on, use the Sigma F80 brush to buff the foundation of your choice into your skin. Using the flat top kabuki brush really creates a flawless application of foundation. This brush can be purchased for $16 here: http://www.sigmabeauty.com/Sigma_Flat_Top_Synthetic_Kabuki_F_80_p/f80.htm?Click=1897

The next step is to apply your concealer and buff it into the skin with the Sigma E40 Blending Brush. This is technically an eye brush, but I love the way it blends my concealer into my skin. I recommend that everyone gives it a go! It's a steal at $9

To finish off the skin, set your foundation with a matching face powder. To do so, use the Sigma F30 Powder Brush. Its the perfect size for powdering the whole face quickly, especially when you're on the go! You can find it here:

Now onto the fun part! To create the tears and swirl design, I suggest using the Sigma E05 Eyeliner brush. Its extremely easy to use as its so small and has a nice point, perfect for doing detail work. If you are interested in doing creative, detail work, this brush is a must have! Purchase here http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/e05.htm?Click=1897 for just $9!

Finally comes the lips. If you don't have a lip brush, like me, you can turn one of your other brushes into a multi-tasking brush! Here I used the Sigma F70 Concealer brush to apply my nude lip colour of choice. Its not too big and works really well as a lip brush. At $9 you can't really go wrong. http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/f70.htm?Click=1897

If you are interested in buying any of these brushes, why not save yourself some money and get the whole set of 12 brushes for $79 without the brush roll, or for $99 including the brush roll?!

Now onto the photos!

This look would be perfect for halloween! Just pair it with a dark lip for a goth look, or pale out your skin and add some greyish contours and create a 'dead' look!

Sigmaaaax!

Sigma has released their new line of Sigmax Synthetic brushes consisting 5 brand new brushes in a range of shapes and styles.

With its tapered design, the F86 is perfect for application of liquid, cream and powder products to precise areas on the face. The F86 is also an ideal contouring brush. It applies the perfect amount of product to the right areas for that flawless, sculpted look that every woman desires. This brush is revolutionary to the beauty industry and very unique in quality and design. It is the perfect addition to any makeup kit. The F86 will be sold individually for $16 or as part of the Synthetic Kabuki Kit (F80, F82, F84 and F86) sold for $56.

The new Synthetic Precision Kit contains the P80, P82, P84 and P86. The P80 is a small, flat top brush that is ideal to conceal blemishes, sun spots and small imperfections on the skin. It can be used to stipple concealer on defined areas, followed by precise application of setting powder. The rounded P82 brush was designed to mimic your fingertips, making this brush ideal to apply eye shadow primers. It can also be used for the precise application of highlight shades on the bridge of the nose, cheek bones and cupid’s bow. The small angled top of the P84 makes this brush perfect for precise contouring of the sides of the nose and contouring the hollows of the cheek bones. It can also be used to highlight the brow bone. Lastly, the unique tapered shape of the P86 brush is ideal for application of concealer under the eyes and in defined areas such as the sides of the nose, chin and around the mouth. This brush can also be used to perfectly apply concealer around the lips to prevent color bleeding. Each of these brushes will be sold individually for $14 or as the Synthetic Precision Kit (P80, P82, P84 and P86) for $49.

If you want to try out all of the synthetic must haves, the Synthetic Essential Kit is for you! Ultimately, these new releases ensure there's something for everyone!

Monstrous NYX Haul!

When Cherry Culture recently had 20% off, I had to take advantage! So I stocked up on items I can use in my kit :)

Take a look...

  • 6x Slide on Eyeliner Pencil
  • 4x Glitter Mania
  • 4x Matte Lipstick
  • 3x Glitter on the Go
  • 2x Lip Liner Pencil
  • 1x Milani Liquif Eye Eyeliner
  • 1x White Eyeshadow Base
  • 1x Photo Loving Primer
  • 1x Black Bean Jumbo Pencil (not pictured)

Pretty epic huh..

And here are a few quick swatches (I apologise about the first photo)

NYX Slide on Pencil Eyeliners
(left to right) Platinum, Glitzy Gold, Jet Black, Purple Blaze, Jewel, Green Papaya. Coral, Purple Rain (Slim lip liners)
(bottom) Milani Liquif Eye Eyeliner in Aqua.

NYX Matte Lipsticks
(left to right) Indie Flick, Shocking Pink, Pure Red, Natural.

I must say, I'm really impressed with the quality of the eyeliners and the lipsticks. The eyeliners are super soft and crazy pigmented! They glide on super easy and don't budge afterwards. I had to really rub the heck out of them to get them off my hand, and you can still slightly see where they were.
The lipsticks, although I havent tried them on yet, felt super creamy and moisturising, and were also crazy pigmented!

If you would like lip swatches, please let me know :)

Have you made any large hauls lately??

Thanks for looking!

Firey Smoke EOTD

Hey there lovelies,
Here is a look I did the other night using an inglot shade I had never used before. The main colour is a reddish coral with sparkles, super gorgeous and a definite winner with me. I also used some Sugarpill to bring the look together!

EYES:
  • MAC Dark Diversion Fluidline
  • Inglot Eyeshadows (reddish coral, sparkly nude)
  • Sugarpill Poison Plum
  • Sugarpill Buttercupcake
  • Sugarpill Flamepoint
  • Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Liner
  • Bourjois Liner Effect Mascara
I definitely plan to redo this again, perhaps slightly more dramatic and with lashes. I just loved it :)
