Halloween!

Here is a short post of 2 halloween looks I did over the last 2 weeks. The first look is a recreation of Callowlily's "Bleeding Through" artwork, and the second is my take on a sugar skull. Hope you's like!

The majority of the products used for both looks are blacktrack fluidline, NYX Black Bean and/or Milk Jumbo Pencils, and black eyeshadow. The callowlily look also uses Kryolan red Aquacolour and red eyeshadow from the 120 palette.

Here is a short vid, which is actually my contest entry, of the 2 halloween looks.

I'm leaving for Queensland this Sunday!! Cannot wait! :D

Thanks for stopping by :)

Recent Wedding Makeup

Hellooo all, and welcome to my new followers! :)

This post is just showing some makeup I did Friday for a Bride and Bridesmaid. There was actually 2 bridesmaids, but the makeup was the same and you can see the makeup best on the girl below.

The colours of the wedding were gold and purple. Those are the colours of the bridesmaids makeup. Originally the bridesmaids were to have the same makeup as the bride, but on arrival, they decided to go with purple instead.

Clicky for supersize!

Bridesmaid:

The purple doesn't show up very well :/

Bride:

I'm really please with how the makeup turned out. Much better than the trial. As usual, the photo's don't really do justice.

Bridesmaid:
  • MAC Bare Study Paint Pot
  • MAC Push The Edge pigment
  • Inglot Eyeshadow (shimmery gold)
  • MAC Naked pigment
  • MAC Blacktrack Fluidline

Bride:
  • MAC Bare Study Paint Pot
  • Inglot Eyeshadows (dark matte brown, shimmery gold)
  • MAC Satin Taupe Eyeshadow
  • MAC Naked Pigment
  • MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
Please give me some feedback, would be muchly appreciated!
I'm doing another wedding next month! :D

Wedding Makeup Trial

This is the result of a wedding trial I did a few days ago. The girl wanted neutral colours, mostly some golds that faded out to brown. I used a neutral palette I made at Inglot Cosmetics and Mac's Naked pigment.

The photo's didn't turn out very well considering the lighting was prettyyy bad. And I believe the eyes weren't as dark as they look below. The flash seems to pretty much wash out the colour. Can barely see anything on the lid :/ hmph.

Please let me know what you think? Tell me what I can improve on. If I'm taking part in someone's big day, I want them to look amazing, so any comments, criticism would be appreciated. Thanks!

MAC Venomous Villains - Cruella

My "Definite Must-Haves":
  • My Dark Magic and She Who Dares (mineralize eyeshadow duos)
  • Formidable (nail laquer)
  • Violetta (lipstick)
  • Revenge is Sweet (lipglass)
  • Darkly My Dear (blush)
My "If I can afford it" 's:
  • Vile Violet (eyeshadow)
  • Bad Fairy (nail laquer)
  • Wicked Ways (lipglass)

Justifications:

I've decided I NEED the mineralize duos because I never got the chance to grab the mineralize eyeshadows from MAC's Style Black collection.
I also NEED Formidable because its gorgeous, I don't have many polishes and because its dark (which I love!)
As for Violetta lipstick and Revenge Is Sweet... I have no lip products whatsoever that are purple, and therefore I'm convincing myself I should try these.
Darkly My Dear is just super pretty, and matte, and I think it would look pretty decent on my skin tone.

As for Vile Violet.. the more I think about how many purple eyeshadows I have.. the more I'm realising I really do not need another.
I'd really like Bad Fairy because its different to what I normally wear, and I think its gorgeous.
And finally, Wicked Ways.. It's gorgeous, and I want to try and pull off some bolder lip colours. And I think my bf might appreciate that one :D

If prices for this collection are as normal prices, this is the estimated cost for my all items on my wishlist:
AU $299*

For just my "definites", the cost is:
AU $211*

*This is if the pricing for the Venomous Villains Collection is the same as MAC's pricing of the permanent range.

I think for now I'll be sticking to my 'definites' wishlist!

So tell me, what are you absolutely craving from this collection, and what do you think is skippable?
