My Halloween!

Hey guys!

Just wanted to post and show you what I got up to for halloween!

The look below is what I wore to work, which is at Gloria Jeans coffees :) Our store was allowed to dress up, and we even created our own halloween drink called "Strawberries and Screams" :D

This was my last minute vampire look...

EYES:
  • MAC Half Wild Paint Pot
  • Sugarpill Poison Plum Eyeshadow
  • MAC Parfait Amour Eyeshadow
  • Sugarpill Dollipop Eyeshadow
  • Sugarpill Tako Eyeshadow
  • Sleek black Eyeshadow
  • Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Liner
  • MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
  • Random lashes
LIPS:
  • MAC Violetta Listick
  • MAC Revenge Is Sweet Lipglass
For the vampire bite on my neck, I used duo eyelash adhesive to create the circles. Then once that was dry, I pulled at the centre of each with tweezers to look like to small wounds. I then filled the centre with a recipe of black eyeliner, purple lipstick, red lipliner, red eyeshadow then added the blood (lipliner mixed with gloss).

The next look is what I wore to my halloween party. I went as Miss Scissorhands! I knew once I saw the costume I just HAD to get it :) I love Edward Scissorhands.. I find him cute haha. I didn't want to look as 'dead' as he did, slightly more of a glamorous scissorhands look :)

This is the makeup I did to go with the costume...

Yay, SPIDER LASHES!!

^^ This is the actual costume itself ^^

EYES:
  • MAC Painterly Paint Pot
  • MAC Burnt Burgundy Pigment
  • Sugarpill Poison Plum Eyeshadow
  • Sugarpill Love+ Eyeshadow
  • Sleek black Eyeshadow
Earlier in the night I did have MAC's Smoked Purple lipstick dabbed on as a stain effect, but it wore off by the time I got pics. Also, for the scars, I just used Duo eyelash glue again and used concealer and powder to set.

I'd LOVE to know what you think of my looks :)

Did you dress up for halloween? What did you dress up as?

Thanks for stopping by!!

Victoria Frances Goth Girl!

Hey everyone!
Today I bring you a look I did recently that I've been thinking about doing for a while. Its based on one of Victoria Frances' amazing artworks. I guess this can also count as a halloween look (goth chick perhaps!), just tweak it as you desire!

I have explained everything you need to create this look!

Enjoy!

Using the Sigma E35 Tapered Blending Brush, apply Sugarpill's Poison Plum, or any similar purple you have, to the entire lid and blend as desired. Then, using the same brush, apply a darker purple or a small amount of black to the inner portion of the eyelid. You can find this must-have brush here: http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/e35.htm?Click=1897

Next, using a Sigma E65, line your upper lashline and waterline with a black cream or gel eyeliner. I used MAC's Blacktrack Fluidline. This brush is great for applying gel eyeliners, perfect size and easy to control. You can find it here: http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/e65.htm?Click=1897

After the eyes are done and mascara is on, use the Sigma F80 brush to buff the foundation of your choice into your skin. Using the flat top kabuki brush really creates a flawless application of foundation. This brush can be purchased for $16 here: http://www.sigmabeauty.com/Sigma_Flat_Top_Synthetic_Kabuki_F_80_p/f80.htm?Click=1897

The next step is to apply your concealer and buff it into the skin with the Sigma E40 Blending Brush. This is technically an eye brush, but I love the way it blends my concealer into my skin. I recommend that everyone gives it a go! It's a steal at $9

To finish off the skin, set your foundation with a matching face powder. To do so, use the Sigma F30 Powder Brush. Its the perfect size for powdering the whole face quickly, especially when you're on the go! You can find it here:

Now onto the fun part! To create the tears and swirl design, I suggest using the Sigma E05 Eyeliner brush. Its extremely easy to use as its so small and has a nice point, perfect for doing detail work. If you are interested in doing creative, detail work, this brush is a must have! Purchase here http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/e05.htm?Click=1897 for just $9!

Finally comes the lips. If you don't have a lip brush, like me, you can turn one of your other brushes into a multi-tasking brush! Here I used the Sigma F70 Concealer brush to apply my nude lip colour of choice. Its not too big and works really well as a lip brush. At $9 you can't really go wrong. http://www.sigmabeauty.com/product_p/f70.htm?Click=1897

If you are interested in buying any of these brushes, why not save yourself some money and get the whole set of 12 brushes for $79 without the brush roll, or for $99 including the brush roll?!

Now onto the photos!

This look would be perfect for halloween! Just pair it with a dark lip for a goth look, or pale out your skin and add some greyish contours and create a 'dead' look!

EYES:
  • MAC Painterly Paintpot
  • Sugarpill Poison Plum
  • Sleek Noir Eyeshadow
  • MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
  • Bourjois Liner Effect Mascara
  • Mehron Paradise Prisma Blendset (Body Paint)

FACE:
  • MAC Studio Fix Foundation
  • MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer
  • MAC Light Medium MSF Natural
  • MAC Blushbaby Blush

LIPS:
  • Concealer
  • MAC Boy Bait Lipglass

Let me know what you think of the look :)
Thanks for stopping by!

My outfit :)

The makeup!

I really loved this :)

Mainly used MAC Beautiful Iris and MAC My Dark Magic eyeshadow. Super simple, but super gorgeous! I also wore MAC Violetta lipstick which matched my corset perfectly! I forgot to take a photo of my heels :(

I'll be doing a post in a little while about my contacts and where I got them.

Thanks for looking!
