Femme Fatale Twilight Meteorite

I recently gave in to temptation and bought some Femme Fatale nail polishes after seeing gorgeous pics plastered on my facebook wall. Let me just say, I do not regret regret this purchase!

Twilight Meteorite is described as "a rich plum pink base with bold blue>pink duochrome flecks".

This description is pretty on the money!

Just look at the photo's!

Gorgeous huh?

To exaggerate the duochrome finish, I applied a black gradient as a base underneath, so it fades out to nothing at the tip where you can see Twilight Meteorite on its own.

I am absolutely in love with this polish and keep catching myself looking at how gorgeous it is. It applied with ease, not too thick nor too thin, not streaky and dried quite fast. I applied two coats to make it fully opaque.

I also love that Femme Fatale are Aussie!

Here are some other polishes I also picked up, they are sooo pretty!

I will post more pics/reviews when I use the others!

Have any of you tried out Femme Fatale polishes or cosmetics? Let me know what you think!

Thanks for reading!

NOTD: Can YOU Dig It?

Hey guyyyys!

I recently got an order from cherry culture, which included this nail polish, Can You Dig It? - LA Girl Disco Brites.

It is a gorgeous lime green polish that is great on its own... but even more fantastic with a layer of crackle or shatter polish on top!

(I used China Glaze Black Mesh Crackle for the topcoat)

I freaking love this combo!! I feel like such a badass with this on haha.
And even my dad likes it! lol

I hope you're all having an awesome easter! I'm home with my family, loving the time I have with them :)

I hope the Easter Bunny treats you all well! Hehe :)

OPI Stars Align Nail Apps -mini review-

Hey guys,

Today I'm sharing a mini post with you about OPI's Nail Apps. Many brands a releasing their own versions of these, another popular one being Sally Hanson Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips.

Just to point out, this is the first time I have ever tried anything like this, so I wasn't exactly sure the best way to go about it. But I did my best, and here are the results:

I love the way these look from a small distance, but up close, there is much to be desired. I was trying to get them done quickly, probably the main reason they aren't perfect.

The bottoms of the apps are very square, and as I was trying to get them to fit my nails properly, they all ended up looking different. Also, there were a few that I had bubble issues with, being near impossible to smooth them out for a flawless finish.

PRO'S:
  • Large variety of fun designs available.
  • Generally, they last longer (on me, at least) than to wear normal nailpolish.
  • They don't chip.
  • Make nails feel thicker and stronger.

CON'S:
  • A little time consuming, at least for beginners.
  • Difficult to file the excess off.
  • I could often feel the tips snagging on things, or would get a bit of lift in some corners of the tips.

Would I buy again? Possibly. A definite yes if there was a design I absolutely loved and couldn't live without.

I am hoping to be able to try the Sally Hansen ones at some point. Considering they aren't sold here, to my knowledge, I shall be stalking Ebay for some in the future!

Have any of you tried this type of nail product? What are you thoughts? What brand would you recommend?

:)
