Mourning Violet

Today I wanted to try out my new NYX Purple Velvet Jumbo Penil, so this is how everything turned out... Oh, and looks much better in person :)

I guess its kind of a simple purple smokey eye... but I loved it :)

I used:

Midnight Dreams

I realised last night I haven't played around with blue for quite some time and decided I really wanted to. Here's how the look turned out :)

I used some Aromaleigh goodies and pulled out a glamour doll eyes colour :)

Eyes:

Base: Bourjois Duochrome eyeliner penic - 58: Noir Bleute (outer half of lid, lower lashline)

Inner Corner: Sugarbaby Blue Blink (including inner third of lower lashline)

Inner Third (Lid) : GDE Fabulous!

Middle Third (Lid and Lower Lashline) : Aromaleigh Late For Work

Outer Third (Lid and Lower Lashline) : Aromaleigh Sapphire over NYX Black eyeshadow

Liner: Jordana Fabuliner (upper lashline)

Rimmel Soft Kohl Liner - Black (waterline)

Mascara: Bourjois Liner Effect

Other products:

Revlon Rose Rapture Blush

NYX Circe Lipstick

Hair Suggestions!?

So I'm planning on getting my hair done soon and I have an idea in my head of what I want to get done.. but I would love some suggestions of what other people think.

The idea in my head is to get my fringe re-cut (Its so long now, and I've been pinning it back for quite some time because it just annoys me). I want a really big side swept fringe :D

I also want to get the ends trimmed, get rid of those poor split ends and maybe help it grow just a tad, annnd add some shorter choppier layers.

Thennnn I want to dye it too :D because my hair is so natually dark, it really doesn't take to blonde very well :( I want to get a random chunk here and there of blonde, just to break up the darkness, but I'm not sure about that. Maybe I could get some clip in extentions, so I can wear them when I want. Let me know if you know of any good sites/stores that sell good quality extentions for a reasonable price :)

As for the colour I want to dye it, well.. I was thinking a dark purplish red..something a bit more exciting than dark brown :D

This photo was taken a couple months ago, so my hair is a tiny bittt longer. But thats basically how it looks :)

And the fringe in this one. But the way its styled just looks kinda cool :)

This is the awesome Anastasia from Lipsticks & Lightsabers. This is basically the colour I'm after!

And I really like Rihanna's bangs.

Push The Violet

This is the result of my playing around this arvo. I'm obsessed with purple!

I love purple and gold together, and wanted to try it in a different way than what I've done before. There is gold on the lid layered over a pale pink, but it was hard to capture with my horrible lighting.

I also added MAC's Reflects Transparent Teal glitter to the inner corner to add a bit of POW! to the look. Its such a gorgeous color, especially over purple :D

This is my contest entry to MisfitMassacreMakeup's 1000 subscribers contest on Youtube.

The theme was to be inspired by a flower of your choice. I chose a purple foxglove,

as seen below:

And onto the makeup:

I did this last week and can't remember what the purple I used on my eyes is :/ The pink on the inner half of the lid is 'Just A Girl' by Heavenly Naturals, and the gold on the inner corner is by NAKED cosmetics. Oh, and the pattern on the outer corner of the eye was done with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, NYX White Eyeshadow and MAC Push The Edge Pigment in the middle.

On my lips was NYX Gem Lipstick with Inglot Sleeks Lipgloss in #43 (shimmery gold) in the centre :)
