Inglot Colour Play

Here's a quick look I threw together last night, y'know.. just for fun.

I used the Inglot palette I made, a post about that (including swatches) can be found here.

This look used all 5 colours from that palette, with the addition of Sugarpill's Poison Plum layered over the purple Inglot colour in the crease as it needed some extra *oomph* :)

Let me know what your thoughts are on this colour combo, or if you'd use the same colours differently.

Thanks for stopping by :)

OPI Stars Align Nail Apps -mini review-

Hey guys,

Today I'm sharing a mini post with you about OPI's Nail Apps. Many brands a releasing their own versions of these, another popular one being Sally Hanson Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips.

Just to point out, this is the first time I have ever tried anything like this, so I wasn't exactly sure the best way to go about it. But I did my best, and here are the results:

I love the way these look from a small distance, but up close, there is much to be desired. I was trying to get them done quickly, probably the main reason they aren't perfect.

The bottoms of the apps are very square, and as I was trying to get them to fit my nails properly, they all ended up looking different. Also, there were a few that I had bubble issues with, being near impossible to smooth them out for a flawless finish.

PRO'S:
  • Large variety of fun designs available.
  • Generally, they last longer (on me, at least) than to wear normal nailpolish.
  • They don't chip.
  • Make nails feel thicker and stronger.

CON'S:
  • A little time consuming, at least for beginners.
  • Difficult to file the excess off.
  • I could often feel the tips snagging on things, or would get a bit of lift in some corners of the tips.

Would I buy again? Possibly. A definite yes if there was a design I absolutely loved and couldn't live without.

I am hoping to be able to try the Sally Hansen ones at some point. Considering they aren't sold here, to my knowledge, I shall be stalking Ebay for some in the future!

Have any of you tried this type of nail product? What are you thoughts? What brand would you recommend?

:)

FAVOURITE nail combo!

When it comes to nails and nail polishes, I would be considered a beginner or newbie...

I was never that big on doing my nails, I guess I found it a bit tedious, and didn't really see the artistic side of it.

I've slowly been buying more and more polishes, and getting into it little by little.

Here is possibly my favourite combo everrr, or well.. at least so far.

Incredible glowy flakes of magic floating in a lost sea of Ink

I wish my photo's did this justice!

When I had this on my nails, I just couldn't stop myself peering down at them. The gorgeousness amazed me :)

As I live in Aus, and NFU OH is nowhere to be seen.. I was lucky enough to find it on ebay one night, and I made damn sure I got that nail polish! Boy am I glad I did!

Let me know in the comments what you're fave combo is!

Oh, and if anyone can help me.. I'm in the search of a totally amazing lime green nail polish! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for stopping by!
Much love

Haul! Inglot + MAC :)

Helloooo all! I'm still alive, and have been pretty busy lately. I haven't posted any looks lately because I seem to have lost my inspiration. More than once, I would be doing my eye makeup.. completely hate it then start again. I did this more than once a day and only stuck with one look because I didnt have time to change it again or I was too over it to care anymore.

But I'm slowly starting to get my groove back :)

I went to Sydney last weekend for Soundwave, a festival jam packed with all kinds of alternative, heavy metal, rock bands.

This was the second year in a row that I attended, and it was AMAZING both times. I had the best weekend of my life, from going to the festival and seeing amazing bands, to staying with my cousins in their 1.5 million dollar pad then spending a day of shopping at a huuuge Westfield shopping centre! AWESOME weekend!

Anyway, enough rambling.. here's my makeup haul from the shopping trip :)

Inglot Square 5 Eyeshadow Palette:

(L to R) #62, #501, #496, #59, #72

(L to R) #62, #501, #496, #59, #72

I believe all these eyeshadows to be the 'double sparkle' finish :)

Inglot 4 Blush Palette:

(L to R) #35, #29, #34, #52

The first and third colours are, I assume, double sparkle finish like the eyeshadows. The second and fourth colours are matte :)

Inglot AMC Lipgloss:

Let me just say this product is amazing! They have about 6 or 7 different shades of these, and every single one is so unique! I have seen these at Inglot before, but only now have purchased one. They have this amazing glow to them.. I have no idea how to describe it...

I'll let the photos do the talking!

Amazing right?!?

MAC Wonder Woman:

I controlled myself with this collection and only bought 2 things! So proud.

MAC Wonder Woman Mighty Aphrodite Blush:

(There you can see the awesome new camera my cousin gave me, soo good for swatches :D)

MAC Reflects Pearl Glitter:

Sparkle Sparkle!

I absolutely love everything I bought and will hopefully have some new looks coming up with these products!

Let me know in the comments if you picked up anything from the Wonder Woman collection, or what products you love from Inglot.

Thanks for stopping by!
